(TITC) - On 16th August 2024, in Ha Noi, Wulingyuan National Forest Park and Scenic Area Administration (Zhangjiajie, China) in collaboration with the Hanoi Unesco Travel Club organised Zhangjiajie Tourism Destination Introduction Programme - Exchange and promote cooperation between travel businesses. Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) attended the event.

The programme was organised to introduce new attractions and policies from Zhangjiajie to Vietnamese travel businesses, at the same time, connect businesses interested in tours and routes in Zhangjiajie with the best support.

At the event, Mr. Zheng Da Wei, Education Counselor, Embassy of China in Vietnam said, since the beginning of 2024, tourism cooperation between Vietnam and China has recovered rapidly. In July 2024, the number of Chinese visitors to Vietnam reached about 249 thousand arrivals, an increase of 38.2% over the same period last year. In the first 7 months of the year, Chinese visitors reached about 2.1 million arrivals, an increase of 190.2% over the same period last year.
The results of tourism cooperation between Zhangjiajie and Vietnam have also achieved outstanding results. Vietnam has become one of the important sources of international tourists to Zhangjiajie, the number of Vietnamese tourists has grown significantly, ranking 4th in the number of foreign tourists to Zhangjiajie.

Mr. Zheng Da Wei believes that Tourism cooperation between Zhangjiajie and Vietnam will become increasingly close and profound. At the same time, it is hoped that the two sides will jointly research and develop more attractive and unique tourism types, bringing to tourists from both countries rich and unique experiences. In addition, service quality and tourism safety on both sides are increasingly improved, creating a safer and more comfortable tourism environment for tourists.
The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam affirmed that it always supports tourism cooperation between Zhangjiajie and Vietnam, creating a bridge for cooperation and exchange between the two sides, promoting the development and prosperity of the tourism industry of the two countries.

Mr. Truong Quoc Hung, Chairman of the Hanoi Unesco Travel Club declared, the emergence of many new services and amenities, along with tours specially designed for Vietnamese tourists, has enhanced the travel experience and attracted more tourists to Zhangjiajie.

Delegates and guests were introduced to the potential and beauty of Zhangjiajie with its towering mountain peaks, majestic stone pillars, deep green forests...; listen to an introduction to Ha Noi tourism - the thousand-year-old capital of Vietnam with famous landmarks, relics, and unique cuisine that cannot be missed.
Within the framework of the programme, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony also took place between Trang An Travel and Zhangjiajie China Tourism Services Co., Ltd.
