(TITC) - Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Thailand strategic partnership (2013-2023), on 8th August, the delegation of the Governor of Phuket Province (Thailand) visited and had a meeting in Da Nang (Central Vietnam).

At the meeting, Chairman of Da Nang City People’s Committee Mr. Le Trung Chinh discussed and introduced to the delegation some highlights of the socio-economic development of Da Nang City in the first 6 months of 2023 and the areas that the city is focusing on developing and attracting investment such as: tourism, commerce, high-tech industry, etc.
In order to further enhance cooperation in tourism and trade between Da Nang and Phuket, Mr. Le Trung Chinh proposed to promote tourism activities between the two sides; promote import and export in commercial activities; call for investment in infrastructure for seaports, operate direct flights from Da Nang to Thailand; and sign a memorandum of cooperation between the two localities as soon as possible.
Governor of Phuket Mr. Narong Wun Siew highly appreciates the potential and strength of Da Nang and introduced to the leaders of Da Nang City the position and important role of the Tourism and Trade Council of Phuket Province.
Mr. Narong Wun Siew stressed, Phuket Province is highly interested in the investment cooperation environment in Da Nang, hoping the two sides will continue the support and nominate the Chairman of the Tourism Council to become an honorary consul for the cooperation bridge between the two sides.
