Vietravel Airlines flight VU1329 carrying more than 200 Korean tourists took off at 07:05 (local time) at Daegu International Airport and landed at 10:40 am (Vietnam time) at Cam Ranh International Airport.

Leaders of Khanh Hoa tourism industry, representatives of Vietravel Airlines welcomed and gave conical hats - symbolic souvenirs of Vietnam.

The delegation of Korean tourists was very excited to arrive in Khanh Hoa on Vietravel Airlines flight. “I am very happy to be one of the passengers on the first flight of Vietravel Airlines from Daegu to Cam Ranh, I was really surprised to receive a warm welcome at the airport. According to the plan, from now to 7 May 2023, Vietravel Airlines will coordinate with partners to organize 11 charter flights from Daegu to Cam Ranh (5 days/trip) with 2,200 Korean tourists. The airlines can add more flights depending on market demand.

Mr. Vu Duc Bien - General Director of Vietravel Airlines said: Vietravel Airlines decided to launch charter flights connecting Daegu (South Korea) and Khanh Hoa (Vietnam) to meet the increasing demand of passengers in both two countries. The operation of these charter flights is part of the airline's plan to expand its flight network in 2023 to prepare for the official opening of regular flights connecting Vietnam and Korea to promote tourism and trade in the coming time.

Attending the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of Khanh Hoa Tourism Department shared that Korea is the largest international tourist market of Vietnam tourism as well as of Khanh Hoa. In the first two months of this year, Vietnam welcomed more than 1.8 million international visitor arrivals, of which Korean visitors accounted for the largest with more than 560 thousand arrivals (accounting for 31%). At the same period, Khanh Hoa welcomed nearly 167,500 international visitor arrivals, including nearly 113,700 Korean visitors (accounting for 67.9%).

"Vietravel Airlines operating charter flights to bring tourists from Daegu to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa will create favorable conditions to help Khanh Hoa tourism industry welcome more Korean tourists", Ms. Thanh said.

The airlines officially operated the first commercial flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Ha Noi on 25 January 2021. Currently, Vietravel Airlines is operating 5 domestic routes connecting Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City with major tourist cities such as Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon.

For the international market, in addition to the Daegu - Cam Ranh route, the airlines is currently operating direct routes between Ha Noi - Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh City- Bangkok with a frequency of 14 flights/week in the golden hour frame.
