In order to satisfy the thirst of travelling of visitors, travel agencies and localities have soon planned to welcome the influx of tourists flocking out to travel during Tet.

According to many travel agencies, this year's Tet holiday season witnessed the rising trend of short-term tours. The units have made efforts to promote and introduce countless attractive experiences to stimulate tourism on this occasion.

Full of hope to recover international tourism on Tet holiday

According to Paradise Vietnam Group (a travel company in luxury cruises in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh Province), informed, in Lunar New Year 2023, the unit implemented 2-3 day tour packages to explore Ha Long Bay on the Paradise Elegance high-class cruise line, Paradise Sails, Paradise Peak, to meet the short-term tour tastes of international visitors post COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, tour packages will include many traditional Lunar New Year experiences such as giving lucky money at the beginning of the year, adding typical cuisine of Vietnamese New Year to the menu, guiding tourists to make spring rolls - an indispensable dish in the Vietnamese New Year table feast... Paradise Vietnam is applying a 30% promotion for product packages to promote Tet tourism.

Paradise Vietnam stated a significant growth in the number of international visitors book for Ha Long Bay, especially Spanish, French, American, Australian, South Korean, Indian, Filipinos, Malaysian, Singaporean tourists…

Vietravel Holdings has recently strengthened its promotion activities in the India, Thailand and Gulf Cooperation Council countries markets (GCC).  Travel behaviour of visitors showed big changes, besides the group of tourists fancy the natural landscape, the season, the type of sustainable, healing tourism will also be interesting add-on to tourists. Young travellers feel being inspired to travel destinations in their desired list, booked through online platforms.

Data from Korean travel agencies shows among tourism products from 20th to 24th January (from 29th day of 12th month in lunar calendar to 3rd day of Tet), the most booked destination is Southeast Asia countries with 54%, of which Vietnam ranks first when occupying up to 19.4%.

According to Vietnamtourism - Hanoi JSC., international visitors recently stay loyal with short trip tours, mostly gathering in destinations such as Ha Noi, Ha Long, Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City ... The company records a large number of short-term tour bookings from the Spain, Belgium, England, Germany, Israel markets…

Also, Vietnamtourism-Hanoi has noticed a growth in the number of tourists booking tours from 15-21 days; operating East-North Vietnam  tour routes from Canada, France, Morocco… During Tet holiday, the company combines tours with experiences for visitors to have the opportunity to enjoy in person the traditional Vietnamese New Year atmosphere at tourist destinations such as Yen Duc village (Quang Ninh), and experience making traditional Tet holiday dishes such as crispy spring rolls, New Year gifts delivery…

From mid-November 2022, the number of booking of Tet tours have increased, both domestic and international tours are in preference in consulting and choosing to book. Instead of “wandering” around the country as in 2022, this year’s Tet tour market has gone vibrant since many countries around the world have officially opened widely or loosen its anti-Covid-19 pandemic measures.

It is expected to have an increase in the number of tourists during Tet 2023 of more than 30-40%, compared to last year.

In the Year of Cat 2023, Vietnam Airlines announces to increase flights for the 3rd time with more than 90,000 seats, corresponding to 500 flights, for the peak season from 6th January to 5th February 2023 (from 15th day of 12th month of the Year of Tiger to 15th day of first month of the Year of Cat). This aims to serve the increasing demands of visitors on domestic routes to home returning or travel.

Saigontourist Travel Service Company informed, from September 2022, Saigontourist has prepared fully in products, services, human resources and tour guides, accomplished more than 300 Tet tour products, on sale nationwide.

Tet tour itinerary is not only diverse in journey routes but also flexible in departure dates from the 1st day to 10th day of Tet, especially offering convenient flight time schedules, with reasonable price.

Many excursion routes to explore the beauty of Vietnam including tours start from Ho Chi Minh City to explore the pristine spring of Northeast area; Golden Road of Central Heritage Da Nang-Hue-Quang Binh; Nha Trang; Phu Quoc; Tra Vinh - Ca Mau - Long Xuyen ... With visitors departing from Ha Noi, the prominent journey to explore the majestic East - - West Northern Mountains such as Sa Pa, Y Ty, the peak of Lao Than; Ha Giang - Dong Van Karst Plateau or celebrating Tet on Ha Long Bay…

With 7 days of Lunar New Year holidays, Sa Pa, Da Lat, Central Heritage route, Vung Tau, Phu Quoc ... are always in the top of the domestic points that attract families for generations or friends.
