(TITC) - The New York Times recently published the list of 52 destinations worldwide so visitors can travel in 2023, to explore the world, enjoy the food, experience the culture, join in the adventure and immerse in natural beauty. Ha Giang, the north-eastern mountainous province of Vietnam placed #25 in the list.

Ha Giang is located in the northernmost part of Vietnam. It is a home to 22 ethnic groups and famous for its beautiful buckwheat flowers.
Ha Giang is about 300 km north of Ha Noi, it takes six hours by road from the capital city to Ha Giang. On the journey to the place where “flowers grow in rocks”, visitors will experience the loop’s steep roads, serpentine passes and recurring switchbacks that can make the journey both treacherous and exhilarating. This remote tableau of soaring peaks and cavernous valleys inspires a deep connection to the landscape and its inhabitants.
Besides the famous Ma Pi Leng Pass, visitors can have a chance to learn about minority ethnic cultures of the Hmong and Tay. Tour guides are available to support your trip and to go deeper into the local's life. Hiring a motorbike to experience the dangerous and zig zag passes would be a worthy activity and definitely to be one of the most memorable and overwhelming experiences.

Besides primitive and majestic landscapes, Ha Giang also owns historical relic sites such as the Heaven’s Gate and Quan Ba twin mountains (Quan Ba District); Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark; the Vuong Family Palace and Lung Cu Flagpole (Dong Van District); Ma Pi Leng Pass (Meo Vac District); Tien (Fairy) Waterfall – Gio (Wind) Pass and the Ancient Rock field of Nam Dan (Xin Man District); and Quang Ngan mineral stream in Vi Xuyen District, etc.
Top 10 of the list includes London (UK), Morioka (Japan), Monument Valley (USA), Auckland (New Zealand), Palm Spring (USA), Vjosa River (Albania), Accra (Ghana), Tromso (Norway).
